s+ slow reel spin and code 42

I have a s+ just had 42 show up and reels are now spinning slow all the time i switched the wires from reel one to reel 2 and still code 42 and reels still spinning slow what can be wrong

Here's a link for errors on the S+. You may have to open and close and latch a few time to clear the error. Also check to make sure nothing is rubbing on the reels front or back.

If switching the reels around still shows the 42 error, you may have a bad reel 2 driver.  Like it was suggested, make sure there's nothing rubbing against the reels as they spin.  If you are proficient with soldering you can remove the reel 4 driver and switch it with the reel 2 driver as the there is no reel 4 on your machine.  If you have access to a spare MPU board, you can try that before you start removing components about just to make sure.  If you don't have a spare mpu board, you should get a spare as the supplies for these are drying up.

Leave the reels as they are - swap the harness connectors between the 1st and 2nd Molex.
If the error remains [42], then it's a pin in the harness.
It's not easy, but you have to follow the wires in the harness
back to the connector on top of the MPU tray.
Unplug it and re-seat it.
They are color coded.
You're not going to believe this, but, the coin-in optic boards can cause reel errors too.

I got it i had to open door and turn rest key one time now it works again thank you everyone
