Saved a machine from being dumped today

I was at our local council site dumping some stuff when a guy rolled up with a fruit machine in a trailer. As he was about to remove the machine i asked if he was dumping it and if so could i have it rather than it being dumped. He said it hadn't worked in years and bits are missing but i could have it. I now have it home, and checked it over. PSU is shot and their is damage to both coin mech and coin payout slides. Also the mpu looks like it has had better days. I will start to pull it apart tomorrow and replace the broken bits if i can find spares in my "big spares box". Pics will follow soon. Its an English machine £100 jackpot. I want to get this old girl going again !!!

That's exactly the same way I got my first machine. Actually the same guy was dumping two - the first one never touched the ground, it was grabbed immediately. I got the second (and I still have it).
