S2000 slot "Open door" errors

I apologize cause i'm sure this has been asked before but after 3 hours of searching, thought I would cut to the chase.

I came across 10 s2000 slots that were had the green battery damage to them I replaced them all ad was able to get 7 of them going. Took some cleaning, but I got it. However I have 3 of them that will go through the reset procedures, but will not let me "close the door" for the final re-initialize step.

I dont know the model differences, but 2 of the boards (single board) have a large and small plug on the back and one of the boards has two (2) large plugs (with a piggy-back board) on it.

I have found several threads about a trace under the battery that is likely the culprit, and have cleaned and ohmed out the ones I can see. What I really need is a board schematic (if one exist) or if somebody can take a closeup and tag exactly which traces are important. Exact locations from the pins in back to whatever chips it goes to.

The cabinet wiring and optics are fine as it test good with another working board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone a few months ago came up with a fix for this problem or one similar to it. But I can't remember the details or even which model machine it was for, [S2000, S+, etc]. They found that by removing a few parts from the board near the green battery location the error would go away or not be created. This fix let some previously bad boards due to battery leakage be restored to working condition.

Sorry I can't remember more about it, maybe someone else can.

i have actually got a few boards in with this problem and have looked into it in great detail. im not by my notes to give you chip numbers or anything, but what i am finding on all the boards i have is that it is not a problem with corrosion or a faulty trace but damage due to ESD. the circuit on every board i have tested is working properly but the final chip in the circuit that actually reads the signal generated is not seeing the change. i have also found that if i force the pin for the main door on that chip high for a short time the door then works properly but as soon as i power cycle the machine that chip seems to get stuck again.

Any way to short that pin with an inline switch to fix the problem?
