CERONIX 1492 - repaired????

I sent a 1492 chassis (setup for bally) to Ceronix for repair - they replaced the flyback and an IC (this chassis has been sitting for years) - installed repaired unit in a v5500 and it worked for a day or two - then went dead (no display - but had power indicated so during power down - light display).
Sent chassis back to Ceronix for warranty repair - reply - chassis tested fine at Ceronix - left on for 24 hours.
I installed the REPAIRED/CHECKOUT chassis in a WORKING GAME - swapped out working chassis  - still no display - tried turning the flyback adjusters -  still same result.  Put the original chassis back in - and the game still works.  SO - my question - is CERONIX wrong???  Anyone else have problems with Ceronix repairs??

I wonder if they did not solder the replaced flyback in well and there is a solder joint that is opening and closing.

if the flyback is working - shouldn't i get a discharge when i ground the connector at the tube?

No need to get so drastic. Just run the back of your hand across the front of the tube to see if there is any static.

so no static - flyback is not working?

Not that simple there are many components that must work before the flyback fires up.

Logic points to the two things they replaced last.

Karma suggests anything could have gone bad.
