Reset key is on side of machine above the pull arm.
It is a key switch. If the key is missing its #2341. They are plentiful.
You can run a jumper to the inside leads on the switch and complete the circuit by touching the leads together.

If Im correct, to get the hopper to pay out immediately you press the cashout button once when you have no credits. If the bulb works it should illuminate.

Very interesting about the 74HC04. I guess shorting an input to output can indeed fry the switch. I really would like to find the schematic that matches that board.

It looks like the machine is running now, and the hopper payout is working as well. However, I don’t have any sound. Is that something that can be adjusted in the settings?

No volume setting for your MPU version.
Just manually turn the blue round dial on top of the MPU.
One way is loud, the other way is lower.

The reset key is on the right side of the machine.
It’s a momentary contact switch. You insert the key and turn.
You can order a key off of eBay if you don’t have one or physically wire in a momentary contact switch in parallel to the existing switch.

The PSR will give you the details you requested.
Also in RICks FAQs there are instructions to display the game and reel chip numbers.

Could you show us a good clear, high-resolution photo of your MPU at 1000kb or less?
Your photo in Reply #11 is of poor quality.
Do not remove /replace with the power switch ON.
I want to see if there's a sound generator (AYxx) chip onboard in its socket (U49).
It's the chip in the socket right next to the dip switch package.
Basically, if you have a circa 1995 MPU board made in China, the AY sound generator chip will be soldered in to the circuit board at that location.
Also, the dip switches on the MPU #1 to 4 should be ON, 5 to 8 should be OFF. for home use.

I’ve taken a closer, more detailed photo of the area you mentioned.

I also set the DIP switches as you described (1–4 ON, 5–8 OFF for home use).

However, I still don’t have any sound.

I’ve been looking for the speaker but can’t find one. Is it possible that it’s missing?

Which cable coming from the board is responsible for the audio? That might make the search easier.

I’ve also attached two more photos showing where I already looked.

okay...much better photo.
You have a U.S.A. made board from 1996...it has a socketed AY sound chip.
Speaker wires run down to the speaker from the door panel harness alongside the door hinge.

I found the speaker; it was above the cash tray. One of the wires on the speaker wasn’t connected there. Now everything works, and I’m really enjoying it. Many thanks to all of you for the time you invested in helping me

#86 Miniature Incandescent T1-3/4, Wedge 5mm, 6.3volts, 50,000hrs
It's the same as the Insert Coin and Coin Accepted lamps.
For home use, I like getting the CEC, or JKL boxes of 10.

Yeah, I noticed that after your comment — thanks for pointing it out, it’s definitely burned out.
Do you happen to have a direct link for the correct replacement bulb?

Maybe it’s because I’m searching from Switzerland, but when I search for #86 Miniature Incandescent T1-3/4, Wedge 5mm, 6.3 volts, 50,000 hours, I don’t see a single product that even remotely looks like the one installed in the IGT S+. Do you happen to have a product number I could use to narrow down my search?
