Update, my son is working on the 3D drawing for the reel disc, he has a place that will cut them with a laser cutter, once my son is finished with writing the program.

Just received a call from Brent at KLar and he found some more parts that are important.
1. Handle pull cover.
2. #25 reel kickers X 3.
3. Original 5¢ reel glass insert.

I am still trying to figure out what this hole in the reel is for.

there's a set screw and a spring in there.

the inner end of the spring pushes on a sleeve bearing that is centered between the needle bearings on each side of the hub.

whether the idea is to slow down the reel spin or just keep the needle bearings touching the shaft I dunno. Typically the end of the set screw is flush with the hub surface.

if you're missing the spring and set screw, the reel may be a little wobbly on the shaft or you may never notice.

Since I have a ton of screws, springs, I will get it done. I see that you are checking up on me.

take the screw/spring out of another reel and to compare. I think they are all the same.

I'm sure I have a hub with the parts someplace if you don't have one.

Before lasers were popular.
In a pinch I made a reel disc out of an old saw blade.
Used the old reel disc for the pattern.
The objective was to eliminate 3 or 4 lemons on the third reel.
Then added symbols that would pay by cutting the correct slot depth where the lemons would have been.
Very pleased that it worked first time out.
Slightly increased the odds of winning, but not that noticeable.
